Burning Lava Text
In this tutorial you will learn how to create this fiery burning lava text effect:

Step 1
Create a blank document, size depends on the size of your text, I made it 350*250px.
Set background to white and foreground to black.
Type your text.
Create a copy of your text layer and hide it.
Hold CTRL and click the text layers's icon to select it's shape.
Apply Filter --> Render --> Difference CLous.

Step 2
Merge the text layer with your background (CTRL-E)
Rotate the canvas bei 90 degree and apply thr wind filter from the left:
Rotate back, it will look like this:
Step 3
Apply Gaussian Blur like this:

Now, use the Ripple Filter with these values:

Your text effect should look something like this now:

Step 4
Now activate your copied text layer.
Repeat the steps up to now but use normal clouds and use a reduced Ripple Effect.
Step 5
Go to Image --> Mode --> Grayscale
Image --> Mode --> Indexed Colors
Image --> Mode --> COlor Table --> Black Body
Now use the Dodge tool and the clone stamp tool if needed to achieve the dye distribution you desire.
