Speeding Flames Text
Make this speeding burning text effect:
Step 1
Create a blank document, size depends on the size of your text.
Black background. White foreground.
Type your text. The font I used is the standard font Lithus pro. I made it bold and italic.
Step 2
Duplicate your text layer and activate the copied layer. Place it under your original text layer
Use Filter --> Stylize --> Wind (from the left) a few times and then apply Filter --> Bur --> Motion Blur with these settings:
Set this layer's opacity to about 85 percent.
Step 3
Merge down the text layers (Hit CTRL-E while having the top layer selected).
Activate the transform tool (CTRL-T), right click the text and choose warp.
Warp it to something like this:
Step 4
The last steps to add the fire color:
Go to Image --> Mode --> Grayscale
then Image -->Mode --> Indexed Colors
and finally Image -->Mode --> Color Table and choose Black Body
..there you go.. your speeding flaming burning text effect:
